Information and Communication Technology

Kardinya Primary School recognises that Information Communication Technology (ICT) is an integral part of the teaching and learning program. ICT capability supports and enhances student learning across all areas of the curriculum. To achieve this, the school and the P & C have invested in a range of technologies so children are equipped to use ICT at school, home and the workplace in the future.

Every class at Kardinya PS has an interactive whiteboard which teachers use to support learning in their classrooms.  Learning areas provide the content and contexts which allow students to develop and apply the knowledge, skills, behaviours and dispositions that comprise ICT capability.

In the digital age, students need to be flexible and creative problem solvers mand critical thinkers while working in a safe online environment. Education around Cyber safety is on-going. For more information click here to go to the Office of the eSafety Commissioner.

Teachers attend professional development and work together to promote sharing, investigating and creating with ICT in line with the Western Australian Curriculum which optimises student outcomes and prepares students to become active community members.
