I am a long standing staff member of Kardinya Primary School (almost 30 years). Although this is my first year on the School Board I have been a strong advocate for all the growth initiatives and positive changes that have made our school what it is today.
I am proud to work alongside incredible colleagues whose passion for high quality education and support for the progress of all children as successful learners is unquestionable.
My personal interest in Health and Well Being has led me to participate in committees and action groups to provide a safe, positive, caring and inclusive learning environment for all at Kardinya Primary School. Social and emotional growth, along with cultural diversity and tolerance of others are well-regarded and important skills that are taught and encouraged through every aspect of schooling. I am currently involved in introducing a mental health initiative and offering students opportunities to develop breathing and calming techniques through Mindfulness and Meditation (M&M) Mondays.
I am keen to maintain the traditions of the school while continuing to guide the changes required to prepare children for our current world as 21st century learners. As such, I look forward to continued participation on the Board, maintaining strong relationships and collaboration opportunities with parents, children and staff during our combined educational learning journey – together we are “Learning for Life”.
